Mr. Manish Singh

Mr. Manish Singh, widely known as Subedar Manish Singh, hails from Jamania in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. A retired army officer with a distinguished career, Mr. Singh’s journey has been marked by dedication, discipline, and a profound sense of responsibility toward his community and country. His life took an inspiring turn during an entrepreneurship session organized by the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), where he had an epiphany about the critical role of agriculture in sustaining both the environment and society.

Mr. Singh's perspective on agriculture is unique, informed by both his background in disciplined service and his academic understanding. He sees agriculture as essential for ecosystem balance and societal development. However, he also noted a disheartening trend: over the years, an increasing number of people have migrated away from agriculture and agribusiness in pursuit of more secure livelihoods. This shift has, paradoxically, led to higher dependency on agricultural products for survival, even as fewer people remain in the industry to produce them.

Deeply aware that the current agricultural challenges stem not only from lack of resources but from a lack of awareness and practical implementation, Mr. Singh is dedicated to bridging this divide. He believes that agriculture, if developed as a structured and profitable business, can provide stable livelihoods and attract people back into the sector. He has set out to create a project that repositions agricultural work as a viable and promising career option.

In his mission to revitalize agricultural practices, Mr. Singh combines his disciplined approach from his army career with a compassionate drive to uplift his community. He is committed to helping farmers and aspiring agripreneurs see agriculture as a pathway to both personal fulfillment and societal impact. With this vision, Mr. Manish Singh’s work stands as a testament to his dedication to his roots and his unwavering commitment to addressing one of society's most pressing challenges: securing a stable and self-sufficient food supply for future generations.
